What Is A Candy Buffet? Why Are They So Popular At The Moment?
What is a Candy Buffet?
A Candy Buffet is known by many names including; Candy or Lolly Bar, Lolly Buffet, Candy or Lolly Station and Candy Table and the list goes on. Long story - short, a Candy Buffet is an inexpensive way to create a lot of colour and create the 'wow' factor at your next event. A Candy Buffet appeals to both adults and children alike and creates an appealing visual effect that is often the talking point of the event.
Basic requirements for a Candy Buffet include, Apothecary jars (which are available in many sizes and styles), scoops/tongs, table and tablecloth, possibly a table runner and a variety of lollies. Often the table is themed to suit the specific occasion for example by coordinating the colour of the table with the room decoration or if a wedding the wedding theme. Signs such as LOVE can be added to the table as can a centrepiece or a bunting. Other decorations on the table can include lolly labels and favour boxes.
Why are they so popular at the moment?
Candy Buffets seem to be very trendy at the moment and many people are using them as their favour to thank guests for their attendance. Its an easy and relatively inexpensive way to present your guests with a momento of your special day.
There are a number of ways people are setting them up these days. Some have the table set up inside the room as an eye catching feature and leave glass jars or boxes on the table with a 'thank you' note attached. Others are using it as a table centrepiece, so instead of having one large table set up, each table has its own, smaller version and guests help themselves while seated.
